Thanks guys, for the good words on my handy work, here are a couple more pictures . . .

I used one of the poles from my mooring cover, along with some other stuff in the cabin to hold the forward section up while I secured it to the ceiling. The headliner is screwed into the ceiling at the 3 light fixture locations. It was a bit tricky getting everything to line up so that the screws would go into the same holes as before.

The rear section is just wedged up in a small space between the cabinet tops and the ceiling. Here is a look at the rear section from the v-berth. I am hoping that my hand prints will smooth out over time. I'm pretty sure the factory installs the headliner with the deck assembly upside-down, so nothing has to be held up in position.

The back wall fabric in the cabin is also showing signs of age, so I have got some extra material to do that as well . . . but probably next year. :)

Nice job man! :thumb: From here it looks factory.. Im gona have to do mine at some point, as its sagging and starting to show 20 years of age as well..but mine is simply fabric glued to the top cap/fiberglass.. and I'm thinking that's going to be a reallllll pain in the everything to do. Maybe I'll copy formula and make up some separate panels when I redo it.

Yea, my 24 foot Formula just had the fabric/foam glued to the ceiling. This boat has a panel backing due to the recessed lighting in the cabin. No matter what, headliners are a PITA to replace. I figured it would take me 2 hours to install the headliner . . . it took about 5 hours.

Quick Update:

I was a little concerned about the hand prints left in the head liner, but over about 1 week's time the heat of the day has smoothed everything out. I'll post a final picture when I can.

Here is a picture of the new headliner, now that the hand prints have settled out . . .

Update:

With the extra headliner fabric, I got some 1" foam backing and did the back wall of the cabin.

It came out OK, not perfect, but OK. I had to do it in 3 sections to surround the cabin hatch, whereas the factory makes it one full piece.
