found this in my bilge what is it?

i found this in my bilge while cleaning it. its a pin of some sort and the end of it flips over 90 degrees as if to hold something. My engine is a 7.4 merc fuel injected with a Bravo 3 drive on a Sea Ray 230 BR signature. does anyone know what this is???? I dont even know if it came from the engine or drive it could have come from something else and got washed into the bilge....

i have never seen a pin like that on a mercruiser engine or drive

It appears to be bout 5/16 or 3/8in, too big for bimini, prolly for eng cover tho I have never seen any like that. For sure never seen one anywhere on a drive

it could be... i dont even know if it came from this boat.... i did check and this pin will not fit thru any of the bimini mounts on the boat....

Are they hollow, as in, could fluid flow thru them.? Especially the 2nd one [without the 90 deg piece ] Are they the same size? one doesnt fit inside the other does it ? I mean like the part with the diamond? grip texture. does that snug up into the hole on the other male -female?

its either the pin for the engine door hinge or the the pin that holds the back seat hing to the transom
ours uses them in both spots

Looks a bit like a hitch pin from a receiver hitch.

It looks like the pin that holds my transom saver on my frame. You slide it through the hole and flip the end over to hold it in place. Mine is about 5/16" in diameter or so.
