I suggest you replace it where you found it. It is most likely needed for suitable keel ballast. Don't want to destablize your boat !!

Seriously, it appears to be a pin lock for a bimini - mine have a small coil spring to keep tension on the assembly when installed. But you may not need the spring for a bilge application.

You do have a kicker motor with a folding mount???

Some type of locking pin....I have seen them before but not sure on what..:confused:

It took me a while to figure out where I saw those type pins before, but after looking close at a buddies I/O powered boat I remembered. They are the quick release pins that hold down the engine cover. You flip the end over and pull the pin to remove the cover and it's struts. His has those both on the hinges and holding both hydraulic rams on both ends. It lets you remove the rams and flip the cover back for removal when working on the boat.
