I am new to the forum and new to winterizing an inboard/outboard. Can anyone direct me to a site or give specifics as to a total engine winterization process? Where do you drain water from and where and how do you install anti-freeze? Do you use the lower unit oil typical of an outboard? What should be greased and what fluids replaced? Thank you.

Welcome Voss.I highly recommend cetting a Camco kit from the marine store. It will get the antifreeze where it needs to be without draining anything.Your effort will be minimal.I did both of my 5.0lx mercs in less than 20 minutes.Works great and takes much of the work and time out of it.Post back if you get the kit and I will give you some pointers about fogging while the antifreeze is being induced into the motor.Charlie

Thank you both. I will get the manual and I would also like to get the Camco Kit. Where would I find this kit? Thanks.

Thank you for the info. I may get back with you later once I'm ready to winterize. I appreciate the help.
