depending on your skill level fixing these I have purchased several 9.5hp low tops ( mid 60s) all below $100 CDN ...all have worked out great after a basic refurbish on the coils points carb gear oil etc...

never had to operate on one. for fishing the 9.5hp is a compact engine, throttle folds down , built in carry handle , low clearance for casting

this kicker was $50 (no tank :) ) with break-in instruction tag still on! If you like oldies a 7.5hp mdl AD or 10hp mdl QD late 50s early 60s are great motors , most have been cared for because they are still around ! for easy trolling a nice 5.5 hp CD mdl is also a great runner

yep, I can handle it. I only shy away because ONCE 20 yrs ago I worked on a 2 cycle outboard and could not successfully tune it and gave up. It seems with all the help here and ramblings I have nothing to worry about. I have been working on LOTS of small engines since moving to a hobby farm 5 years ago.

Not an expert but not afraid of much. . .!

don't forget the AOMCI.org site when oldies are the specialty dating back to the 30's

the annnual membership is not an obligation and you can ask any question
oldies wise. Membership gives access to lots of manuals, ref. documents etc...
