"Freedom" Small Power Boat Manufacturer?

Anyone heard of this manufacturer or brand? Web searches turn up a sailboat manufacturer and a company in N. Carolina that is currently building large sport fishing yachts. Tomorrow I'll be looking at a little 22' cruiser manufactured in 1992 described by the broker only as a "Freedom 22". Whoever originally bought this boat seems to know what they were doing in terms of getting all the expensive options and electronics needed to do some serious cruising. I'll go over it with a fine tooth comb before making an offer, but I'd be curious if anyone knows the history or this manufacturer.

Thanks!

I believe that's a center console made by McKee Craft. If it is, I believe it to be a very well built boat. I've been on one and was very impressed.

Not a center console. This Freedom is an express cruiser style boat, like a SeaRay Sundancer. From a web search looks like the McKee Craft's are all center consoles. Probably not the manufacturer of this boat but thanks for the lead!

Check out this thread it may be the same manufacturer

The Mach 1 in my avatar pic is made by Freedom boats

That sounds right. 1992 is the year so the timeframe is right. Just looked at the boat today and was quite impressed. It's a very solid boat and well thought out design. A 22'er with an anchor rope locker and forward hatch for access so you don't have to go up on deck! That's just one example. Portapotti in the head though. :-( Guess I can fix that down the road when I get tired of lugging it around...

Thanks for the feedback!
