Polish troops just found advanced SAMs made in 2003 by the French in Iraq - in violation of the UN sanctions.

Remember when we were bombing Libya and we "accidentally" dropped a bomb on the French embassy because they wouldn't let us fly over their airspace? Time for take 2.

Re: French advanced SAMs in Iraq

Shall we ask a question? Surely!!!
Any moron can tie a few things together and ask the question: Where, perhaps, would that nice guy, whom we all know as Saddam, that the Liberals love so much (and think we should continue the diplomacy after 12 years of the Unfunctional Nations(UN)failures...That wonderful "UN" composed mostly of terrorist supporting nations (WVIT, PLYWOODY...bring it on....Doubt this, PLEASE) be today with Mr. Gore as president?
Oh hell, we're concerned about the threat of man portable SAMs being used as a terrorist weapon in the US....or are we? Nah, we should continue to attempt another 12 years of diplomacy against Saddam, right? To hell with what he does in his own country, right? Torture, rape, horrendous murder...that's okay by Ply and Wvit. Heck, its in his own place, so its his business, right? Just like homosexuality. Bestiality. Child porno...where does it stop?
Thank god we have leadership that has and will continue to take action!

Pull our boys and equipment out now.
Pull back to our own shores and defend HERE.

I don't know about you, but it's time to let the vermin deal with their own problems and blow themselves all to hell.

I am so sick of it all.

Of course the French and probably Germany had their hands in the cookie jar. It's only a matter of time before we found out.

I for one, have totally boycotted French stuff.

7-Up yours France!

H.

Re: French advanced SAMs in Iraq

I remember being so proud of President Bush when he was talking tough. Saying things like; "You're either with us or against us." And, "If you harbor or support terrorists you are our enemy."

So far, Arafat, the French, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and N. Korea haven't seen nary a cruise missle.

Are we in a war or what?
I'm sorry guys. Nine eleven was a major make it or break it event. It is the difference of peace as we knew it or forever be in fear of attacks like that day.
I don't care what the UN thinks, the rest of the world thinks or what France thinks.
That giant that everyone thought was awoken is stopped at a couple of borders thinking rebuild?

What the heck is going on here?
We roll over Afganistan and win round one. We roll over Iraq and win round two.
This is a 12 rounder!

The question was asked if I'd vote for Bush again. My answer was it is to soon to say.
If he doesn't get back to being the tough guy again. If he continues to squander his popularity.
If he continues to sit in the corner allowing known enemies (terrorists) to walk the face of the earth.
Heck no he's not getting my vote!

You might say; "But he's the best out of all the rest."
Well at present he's as passive as the rest. He's actually loosing control of the situation here and abroad. And he did make a miscalculation concerning WMD's.
This is all adding up to fuel for the dissenters, passives and liberals. This is wearing on the fire of rightous aggression.
Dang him! We really didn't need a two round fighter for a twelve round fight.
This is dangerous business, his stall, and it's putting this country at great risk!
At present, he's being dang ineffective in the war against terrorism.

As hard as it will be. I'll vote someone like Howard Dean in to get our noses good and bloodied. Then in the long term someone will grab the bull by the horns and ride him to the ground.

We don't need no stinkin' 87 billion to rebuild Iraq. We need the draft and 287 billion to keep rolling.

I'll leave it up to CastawayRay to tell you what to do with N. Korea's spent fuel rods. Iran's too.
France? Kick thier diplomats out of this country tomorrow.

Re: French advanced SAMs in Iraq

skinny, you're probably 2x more politically savvy than i, but i am thinkin what is going on is bush trying to re-kindle the flame that is dying, for the majority of (short-term-memory-type) americans.

otherwise, why would we be hearing all this BS about WMD & iraqi war cost & our administration losing popularity. to me, it is turning into a nauseous feeling for the lack of backbone of my fellow americans again, and i'll soon be wondering if i should just quit giving a dam again - kinda the way i felt during the clinton yrs...

(not literally, but i hope u get my drift)

i will mention once again - i've never been, or heard my friends tell of a frickin poll being taken with our input... and i plan on giving our prez another 4.

I looked at the associated press and cnn sites and did not see any referance to this story. Neither was it on the local news, I would also like a link if possable.

These were advanced SAMs made in 03 by the French - the others were older & less advanced. These were contraband.

Skinnywater - You have to be a realist about these things. He has an election coming up and he is taking it in the butt 7/24 from the left and the media. They have have him pinned down until after the election unless something else happens. If he were to pick another fight they would crucify him. He has to get re-elected before he makes another major move. Then it is going to be gloves off time.

I realize your anxious but it is unfair to say he is being ineffective - he has taken down Iraq and Afghanastan, locked up 2/3 of Al Qaeda's leadership and captured over 3,000 terrorist and there has not been an attack on US soil since 911. I'd say that is pretty darn good for the opening rounds of this fight. The rest will come after re-election or after sufficient provocation from Iran or Syria.

Be patient - he is a man of principal. It will come. Right now the bigger risk to the nation is himing being voted out.
