Hello,
We just got our 2010 Tahoe Q4, loving it so far except for the fact that the front bimini straps drive be bonkers.
No matter how tight or lose we have it, it still vibrate and cause quite a ruckuss at cruising speed.
Now I'd like to have both hands free when we're moving for steering and power control, and not have to hold onto the strap at all times.

Is it possible to convert it to a solid bar with a quick release? This would require installing adding 1 quickrelease + 1 bar per side for the front tie down?

Thanks

Just give those straps one twist and the jiggles will end.

As Marcortez says, put a couple of twists in them before you hook them and they'll be fine. Hook them nice and flat and straight and they'll drive you crazy. Mine used to do the same thing before I figured it out. Apparently every trucker out there knows about it for tying down straps, etc.

I have paper clips on mine now. I'll have to give the twist thing a try.

Sweet,
I'll bring some clothing straps and try the twist technique next time we're out.
