avoids the whole ethanol issue for you. So....yes. Fire it up and go boating!

Depends on where you live. I always use Shell premium in my outboard and all my lawn equipment. Every Shell station in my area has a sticker on the pump, "may contain 10% ethanol. Before filling the cans I add Startron. Learned this from a great small engine repair shop. "No warranty on carburetor repairs unless you use premium and startron".

I like Mystik 2-smoke oil. They have one that has a built-in dose of fuel stabilizer. I ran last year's gas this summer and had zero problems. I run 'may contain ethanol' regular too. Go figure.

above point about local meaning of "premium" is good. I guess you have to look for "ethanol free" or something similar, if that's what your are after.

I found a ethanol free gas down the street
they carry VP fuels but they want $8.50 a gal
I'd have to refinance my house and pull out equity to go boating at that price
