60hp 3cyl. - have replaced all fuel lines, new bulb, new filter. Engine will idle for 3 minutes, then dies out. Will run at any speed if you pump the bulb continuously. VRO had new kit installed a few hours ago( oil side capped off).Carbs had rebuild 20 hours ago. Is the Pulse Limiter possibly the problem? Engine runs smooth up thru WOT if you pump the bulb. Any suggestions ?

Could be restriction in the fuel supply or venting that the bulb can overcome but the fuel pump cannot.

More likely: failing fuel pump.

If I go to the "simple" old style fuel pump ( not using oiler anyway), does the Pulse Limiter stay in the system, or do you eliminate it ?

The pulse limiter has no effect on the operation of a conventional lift pump, one way or the other. It could possibly limit the damage to the pump's membrane if there were a backfire.

If I remove the VRO and replace it with the simple fuel pump, is there anything else that I need to do to facilitate this change-over ?? Do I need to remove the Pulse Limiter and clean/ or inspect it ? The manual says that this part can become fouled with carbon under certain circumstances.

Vro Replacement Fuel Pump Kit "no Oil"
(for Using Oil/gas Pre-mix In Fuel Tank)

#5007422 it is in the $300 range.

$100 range on larger motor you may have to use 2 of these.
BRP Part Number: 0438559
Description: FUEL PUMP AY

There is not an aftermarket pump. single pump fine for 60 hp.

Do you know if a bracket is available for that fuel lift pump? It obviously wont fit on the VRO mounting bracket. Do you eliminate Pulse Limiter ?

you have to fabricate one. you can mount to air silencer and drill new holes in it.
