Engine wasn't getting fuel so, I rebuilt fuel pump, put on new fuel/water separator, still nothing disconnect fuel line before and after F/W separtor, new bulb, still no gas flow. Disconnected from fuel tank and tried a 1 foot piece of hose with bulb, fuel flowed freely.Aha I need new fuel line!!! well I checked old fuel line under water with air compressor no bubbles???? Old line didn't feel soft enough to collapse any ideas??? The new line was too short to check, I need a barb and maybe 3 more feet. I will let you know How I make out

Fuel pump is run by crankcase compression pulses.-----So if there are issues inside the engine it will not pump properly.----Have you tested the compression in the cylinders as a trouble shooting step.

Not tried that but the issue is no gas getting to engine from tank, engine runs fine when enough fuel is getting to it

If racerone's test shows the tank dirty or the pick up tube is blocked you will just be another in a long line. The fuel we are forced to use can deteriorate in 30 days and it leaves a shelac like coating on the inside of the tank if left for any length of time. This will wash down into the fuel and coupled with any other contaminants will block things up. Using Stabil in all your fuel will help to prevent this, keeping the fuel fresh for a long time.
