I just bought a OMC Quest with a 50hp Johnson and noticed a canister filter under the rear compartment storage. It appears to be a fuel filter marked OMC. I just bought the original service manual for that particular motor but it does not have that in the book. It looks like a regular oil filter that just unscrews from the base. My question is if I unscrew the filter to replace it will the gas leak out all over the compartment. Anybody know any tricks for replacement. Thanks
