This is the Mercury web site. Put in the serial number of your engine, and it will give you the parts you need. You can select differen areas (electrical, fuel system, etc) and you will get a parts list with an IPB (Illustrated Parts Breakdown) which may help you find the location.
The in-line fuel filter on these motors is essentially useless. You can find a replacement at West Marine however. I would highly rec. a fuel/ water separator to augment this wimpy filter- $40 and a lot more peace of mind.
