Hey Guys,
For some strange reason, I have prime the ball on my 1998 force when I sit and fish for awhile. What I've noticed is that the fuel filter fills with gas as I prime the ball, but once I quit priming I see the gas leave the filter back towards the primer ball and gas tank. There is a fuel line connector between the filter and the primer ball. When I disconnect the connector after priming the ball, the fuel remains in the fuel filter and the motor starts just fine. The primer ball is brand new. Is it possible for the connector to be bad? Or, could it be the connection at the gas tank? Thanks

The connector should allow gas to drain back into the tank.
The filter doesn't necessarily keep fuel in it.
The tank/hose is a straight shot.No restrictions.
The connector when unhooked it should shut down the flow.
If you constantly need to reprime?? Then the ball could be bad? The connectors could be bad(I removed them in July/88 when I bought)?
Sounds like no real big problem.
