Re: fuel problem/carb?

Welcome merc 60,
As you probably suspected, there are several things that could cause your engine to run poorly. One of the easiest and quickest things to try is a squirt can of premix and when engine starts to stall, give the carbs a shot of fuel. If the engine picks up and runs, you have a fuel problum.
In real life though, your first move should be getting a shop manual for that engine. It's real informative and most have a excellent trouble shoot section.

g'luck & c/6

Hooty

Re: fuel problem/carb?

Thanks hooty. I have parts of a manual Igot off the net but its dated '69 . I am leading towards either the carb or float/filter,there is evidance that gas is getting to the carb, as it is all around it, I will use your suggestion. :)
