I have a evinrude 6 hp fisherman sn# 6802R-E10337 the little fuel pump on it was cracked and leaking, just to see if it would work I put a larger fuel pump from a 35 hp evinrude on it as the bolt pattern and vac hole were the same, I had several of these bigger pumps on hand but no small ones, It starts and seems to run fine, on this particular engine a 1968 I think? there is plenty of room for the bigger pump, What I want to know is will this hurt anything in the engine or carb? can I just keep the bigger pump or go buy a little one?? budgets tight times is tuff!
thanks':cool::cool::cool: KB

Actually, the bigger pump is a better pump. Keep it on there. And don't be concerned about too much pressure or flow---it just can't happen.
