Fuel pump ?

Took boat out again and when i started it,it wouln't want to idle.Yester day no problem at all idleing.Seems to cough at idle.Also my fuel pump had a hole in it on the back side on aluminum housing,is this normal?

The hole where it gets the crankcase pulses that make it work.

No,not that hole.It has 1 up tawards the top and not the hole where the white pin is,this is next to that.It is not a perfect hole either.I'll try and geyt a pic and post it somehow cause it always says file to big?

OK, not sure what the "white pin" is. But there is a hole at the top, behind the air dome section. It allows the air dome to "see" atmospheric pressure. The air dome really should be called an accumulator, but I didn't have anything to do with naming it.

Ok,up top where the hole is on this pump mine also has that,but you can see the white pin that has a spring on it,on the inside.My pump also has a hole next to that.Still trying to figure out how to post a pic

OK, I haven't seen one with a hole exactly like that and without taking it apart and looking, I can't tell you any more than I already have.

But tell ya what, you wouldn't see me worrying about it if it were mine. If it works and doesn't leak, ignore it and get on with life.

here is a pic of the inside of pump with hole,it seem to have maybe caused the diphram to stretch
