I attended an outboard repair class in which the instructor/mechanic recommended a fuel stabilizer which prolongs fuel life and prevents varnish buildup. Recently, my mechanic discouraged me from using this . The product I use starts with an S, ends with an L and smells like it has a lot of alcohol in it.
