I've got a Maxum 17XR with a 70 Hp Force outboard motor, I've just change the fuel pump housing due to corrosian, also I fitted a new prime bulb and hose, change the jets and needle valve and reset the float height, flush the fuel tank out, and check tank breather was clear, The engine was running sweet but now the prime bulb as gone soft and I am losing power, I've change the prime bulb and checked for air leaks but have found none present. Can anyone help me on this one as its doing my nut in.

Will the engine run? You need to post your question in the engines section.....

Yes, the engine will run, the boat will also get on to the plane, but then its starts to starve of fuel, and the prime bulb goes soft but does not suck in, it seems like a air leak but I can't find it. I know it should be under engines but I mess up, but I'll get it right next time.

Did you move your engine question to where it belongs, in the Engines and Motors Forum?

Sorry to be so cranky about it, and it isn't entirely your fault, but there have been more ENGINE questions than boat questions on the BOAT Questions Forum lately.

I really think some people do it on purpose, thinking they are going to get quicker answers than the people who read and follow the instructions.

Yeah, yeah, I know most people wont read the instructions, but it is a pain to those of us who are trying to give every question a fair amount of attention, and it is not fair to the others.

Thanks for listening. :)
