fuel tank vent

anybody know where the fuel tank vent is or should be. ( 16.5' silverline...underfloor fuel tank)<br /><br />I was told to check to see that it is not clogged ---as i am having engine stalling propbelms.<br /><br />thanks

Do not know your boat but most boats it is right near the fuel cap on the side of the boat. Vents can get clogged but I think most of the time problem turns out to be a sag in the line that get full of fuel.

ON YOUR BOAT IT SHOULD BE IN THE BACK.lOOK IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT FOR A HOSE THAT GOES FROM YOUR TANK TO THE BACK.On the outside of the boat you should see some type of cover that keeps water out.(mine faces down to prevent rain and such).When you fuel up your boat you should be able to see vapors slightly coming from the vent.
