Smoke has got it!!!

When it rained really hard we would go to the hay fields and pull a sheet of 3/4 inch plywood behind a 4 wheeler rope tied to the wood and no handles just hang on for dear life!!! Good times!!

I have tubed behind my Little Sea Nymph with a 25.

When I first learned was behind a inboard in Minnesota. When I got home it was behind a 14 foot Lone star with a 10hp Evinrude. That's when I was about 8 and 50 lbs.

As a kid, pulled on tube behind 12' flat bottom tin by a 7hp motor of unknown brand since all paint wore off (but possibly johnson thinking about it). Went about 10 knots top speed but as a kid, it does not matter since you are out on the river.

That would be a 15" aluminum bateau (jon boat for some of you) with a 20 HP Mercury back in the middle to late 70s.

15" boat? Now that is skiing behind a small boat! :)

I skied (really surfed) on a picnic table top, behind a 3.9HP Merc on a 12 aluminum row boat. You had to keep the front up a bit or it would submerge and leave you behind.

We grew up skiing behind a 13' Whaler with an 18 (all 1964) but we were skinny 14 year olds then. Even slalomed --had to get up on 2 and drop 1.

When I was younger I skied behind or tubed behind anything that I thought could pull me. One thing that stands out the most was a dare to try and ski off of a dam. When it rained a lot and they opened the flood gates it had a wake coming out of it just like a boat. Naturally someone got the idea to tie a ski rope to a fence above the gates and the next thing you know I was jumping in with a pair of skies on and going at it. Of course it took a couple of times to figure it out, and the lake patrol was not very happy when they caught us. I thought my parents were gonna kill me when the lake patrol dropped me off.

As kids we did lots of skiing behind my brother's 14' garvey with a 1957 18hp Evinrude. --- I'm thinking that we may have actually gotten my younger sister up behind our 12' aluminum 'johnboat' with a 2 hp West Bend. Couldn't swear to it though, that would be about 40 yrs ago now. We certainly had her up on an aquaplane behind it.

As a teenager (5'9" and 175 lbs.) I used to ski behind my grandfather's 14' Thompson woody with a 35hp Evinrude. :)

As a kid my Dad used to pull all of us youngins' on a semi truck inner tube at the Lake of the Ozarks behind his 16' semi V Lowe with a 25 hp Merc. Those were some of our best times I can remember. :D

My friends and I go knee boarding behind my 14ft aluminum with a 1980 15hp Evinrude. Once people start getting around the 180lb range then the motor starts to bog, but anyone who is light weight gets wrenched out of the hole. 23-24mph is actually kinda scary to be whipped around behind a small boat.

12ft John boat with something like a 15hp motor on it. We would put the boat on top of my Honda and the motor in the hatch to drive it to and from the water. We would knee board and ride surf boards behind it.

12 V aluminum with a 16 hp Scott was great for a board but it took too long to plane for a skier.......

Did ski in a canal in FL being pulled by a 64 oldsmobile with my cousin driving....... until I fell at about 40 mph and almost became a Dawin Award winner
