gap settings for points?

I'm going to replace the points again. does anybody know what the exact gap setting should be for the 1990 2.3L OMC with a Mallory distributor. thanks

Ayuh,... .016 to .019 will get it Running,...
But,...
Setting them by Dwell is much more Important...

.016 or a matchbook cover is usually about right, but ideally it should be done with a dwell meter. usually that info is marked on the engine somewhere, on a sticker with the model number, plug info, etc.
