I know this sounds crazy but today I was trying to disconnect the main power data connector on my Garmin 546s and for the life of me I can't get it to unplug.
I have had this connector unplugged previously so I understand how the twist lock works.
This time the twist lock will only turn about a 1/4 inch total and the connector is almost like it is glued to the connector on the 546.
It won't budge.
Anybody have any ideas as to what is going on?

A little aerosol contact leaner sprayed around the barrel may loosen it up without endangering the guts.

do you hose it down or does it get covered in salty water spray?may need a couple of good soakins in wd40.maybe the connections have furred up.if you get it apart a bit of silicon grease does wonders.

I didn't know it includes connectors but everything else Garmin requires an Unlock Code. Have you got the 78 character Unlock Code??:redface:

Well I got it.
It took both hands and some sweat to turn the twist lock.
Can't imagine way it would take so much force to undo.
