Garmin GPSMAP 182C Software Upgrade

Wonder if anyone knows if the GPSMAP 182C software upgrade also upgrades the GSD 20 sounder module as well (if connected). My GPS is with me up north and my sounder is attached to my other boat which is in Florida. If the sounder gets upgraded as well, I'll want to hang on to the upgrade card until I'm back down south (many months). I'm not sure that the Garmin rep that I spoke with really knew the answer. Thanks

Garmin lists GSD updates separate from chartplotters. BTW, the last GSD update was 2.30 in Jul 2003 ...
