Garmin maps

I am looking at the Garmin 400 series of chartplotters. The maps you get are dependent on the model you buy. The 431 has inland maps, and the 441 has coastal maps.

I do most of my boating on the Potomac River near D.C. Would this be the coastal map or the inland map?

Inland covers lakes. Coastal covers everything else. Unless you do the majority of your boating on lakes, i.e Lake Anna, I'd stick with coastal which covers the rivers, Bay and Ocean
