Stick with 50 to 1 and don't play around with your fuel/oil mix. Too many bad things can happen if the engine doesn't get enough oil.

Hi there guys..I was wondering what type of oil to use. I can get Castrol super 2 cycle marine from walmart here in canada for 17$/gallon or the quicksilver at 49$/gallon, I'm all out of pennzoil and haveing trouble finding more, It was the synthetic blend..

Most of us use Walmart Marine oil. It meets the TCW3 standard and is much cheaper than Quicksilver and Pennzoil. The down side is it smokes a little more and carbons a little more. A decarb treatment at the end of the season will usually clean out all the buildup.

I have been using Walmart oil for years with no negative effects on my boats and cars.

My engine is constantly run and maintained so it is very clean. I only do a decarb at the end of the season.

For engines that get little use or have sat a long time, I recommend that folks do a couple of decarbs up front, if possible letting the engine sit overnight after flooding it with the sealfoam solution. Then, after you have cleaned it out good, go to doing it at the end of the season.
