Gas container for winterizing fuel injected VP engine

What kind of a gas container do people use to winterize a fuel injected injected engine? Can I just stick fuel line in a QT of 50 to 1 two cycle fuel?

For a V8 engine is the fuel line likely to be 1/4" or 5/16" or 3/8"?

While I do not want to spend a lot of money on this I do not want a fire either.

Take the gas can from your lawn mower, pull the cap off and shove the 3/8 fuel line in the cap hole
