gas mileage

i have a 89 yamaha 90hp. its on a 18.5' flat bottom lowe condor, which is a "boat" of a boat. but even so it seems like i'm gettnig crap gas mileage. 12g tank lasts maybe 12-15 miles by gps. and thats being generous. exhaust smells a little rich, but it seems like the gain from fixing that still isnt going to be that impressive. is this the kind of gph i should expect?

uh....12 gallons.....12 to 15 miles on gps....are you sure the trailer is not strapped on? Just kidding. Could there be a leak you have not detected? While that is a hunk a boat, that amount of fuel does not seem anywhere close to what you should be using. I have a 150 on a 17 1/2 foot aluminum, and the fuel useage is much less than yours. Do you smell fuel at all?
