I am considering moving my gas tanks (2- 6 gal.) to the bow of my boat,,it is a 17.5 ft. tracker,,,my question is,,with the length of hose I will need, about 16 feet will that have an effect on my engines performance,,and if I can,,,where should I place the primer bulb for best results.
Engine is a 1986 75HP,,thanks.

i put mine around center to plane out if I'm alone. less fuel line and you wont bounce your can around hitting waves-----spill your gas and you can burn your boat. i also use a 6 gal. in my 14' and behind the center bench works good for me. i have control of my tank and only about 6' of line. don't spill a drop.

My last boat was a center console with a built in tank in the bow. The primer bulb was back at the motor. Never had any problems with running or priming.
