Gas tank vent on 1996 Aquasport CC

Does anyone have any idea where the gastank vent is on a 1996 Aquasport 200 CC? I want to check to see if it is clogged. The company is out of business.

should be on the exterior just under the rub rail, or in the motor well. usually on same side as the filler. you also could have a vented filler.

What is the problem?

May also want to check the anti syphon valve if you are getting a fuel restriction. They are known to stick in a semi closed postion

mine is right by where you put gas in.

i have 2 of them from what i was told to much boat for the $. that was from someone that worked for them. they also were made by welcraft and here in fl. welcraft closed as well a few yrs after they stoped making the aqua. thats what i was told any way...

I, umm, wired and rigged them for 6 years, '94-'00. 301 and Whitfield. The majority 225/250 Ospreys, but many a 200 Osprey as well. When OMC went bankrupt in '99, Genmar picked up Seaswirl and Hydraports, along with a few others. So now you had Wellcraft fishing boats, Aquasport fishing Boats, Seaswirl fishing boats, and Hydra-sports fishing boats..."brand identification" is what they called it, or something like that. Scott, in a way, your correct, a lot of boat for the buck. But if they got rid of AS, they could increase their sales on the other lines, hence increase their profits. So they dropped AS under the guise of "re-positioning" the line in the market...which was a bunch of BS. I left to go to Stamas Yacht in May '00, but I have all this first hand from Kurt Jarson, the former VP of sales for AS.

So that's what happened, and it's a damn shame it did...

BTW, JJ, your vent should be on the hullside below the fuel fill. You also have a PM...that's Personal Message, if you're new to this stuff...

Like i said this is what i was told!!! not what i thought!!! all i know is my aquasport that i bought brand new has wellcraft stuff all over it. title as well. but thanks for info.
