Your picture is very small and hard to read. Catalina has a fiberglass hull, so it is everything is repairable. The beauty about fiberglass boats is that no matter what happen to them, they are still repairable even if the hull was cut into half with a chain saw
Try to post more clear pictures, overall and zoom ins. The process will start by grinding the damage area with an angle grinder and 24 grit sanding desk. You will continue grinding all the damaged glass out and then you will start feathering the edges and dish out the repair area. Clean with Acetone in one direction only and change rags frequently. Using polyester resin and 1708 fiberglass fabric you will start building out the area again. Depends if you have access to the back or not, you might want to do this from both sides.
If you don’t have access to the back, it gets a little tricky because you need a backing plate inserted from the backside to support the glass layers from outside.
This is just meant to be a very brief summary of the process to claim down your worries and to assure you it is absolutely repairable. When you post clearer picture of the front and back (if possible), we can give you step by step instruction for the repair.
Congrats on the purchase, Catalina are nice boats.
