I looked into this just receintly. I found that the options are paint, or an epoxy finish coat that can be colored. Look at epoxy suppliers for the product.

Re: gel coat over epoxy ?

I've called West Systems about this, they said well, it does sort of work, but might not the the best way to do it.

I sell gel coat and my answer is never use gel coat over epoxy. I've tried to get a good bond before and while you can get it to stick, it was never a strong bond. I was never able to get a good enough bond for me to be comfortable with doing it on my own projects, or for any body else.

By the way, all our chemists also say it's not a good idea.
