General cooling system help

Hello all,<br />Sorry if this is a silly question, but this is the 1st outboard I've owned. I have a 1979 Evinrude 115hp Outboard. There is a small water jet that shoots straight down out of the engine and 2 larger jets that shoot out the back. Am I correct to assume that if there is a steady stream of water coming out of the smaller jet that my impeller is in good shape? Water only comes out of the 2 larger jets when there is about half throttle or higher. Is this normal?<br /><br />Thanks for the help!<br /><br />
