Gimbal grease

I have a VP SX 1.66 on a VP 5.0L with greasable gimbal bearing.

[Q] How many pumps ( std. cartridge ) grease should one pump in using external zerc fitting for yearly maintenance?

i.e. doing blind pumping with leg attached, motor running.

Can anyone with their leg off do a test for me?

Ayuh,..... 10 pumps will freshen the bearin' grease, without overloadin' the bellows with purged grease,......

You don't pull the leg every year?

Thanks, I don't use enough to pull leg every year. I have shop do a full drive check every couple of years.

IF??? you use the boat once a year you should still pull the drive.
How often for an oil change??
