I found a site this morning that has some good advice on replacing rotted or rotting wood in stringers and transoms.. It's called rotdoctor.

They have a product that claims to repair and stop rotting. Seems interesting to me.

Re: Glass/wood repair

The only way to repair rot in my opinion is with new wood.

Like I said, just my opinion.

We have an iBoater that goes by the handle of Ondarvr. He has worked in the Epoxy business for 40 yrs. and has posted multiple time here on the forum about this product and their claims. You should do some searching a reading to educate yourself on the pro's and con's of thinning epoxy. Thats MHO.
