Man I love this forum. You will ALWAYS get your question answered one way or another. I am so grateful. This is my first complete motor/boat resto and the help here has been EXTREMELY invaluable and I could not have done it without this board.
There are ALOT of VERY knowledgable guys on here who could just as easily make you suffer! I mean what do they really get for their help? I'll tell ya, the higher up admirals and such should get like a link to their marketplace or some sort of commission somehow - they sure deserve it!

Yeah, I've seen "ancient mariner", "chief of the boat", etc. but there should also be a "God of the Seas".

And while I seek NOT to diminish anyone, I do want to offer honorable mention for F_R and nominate him for god of the seas!! He has replied to some of my unique/complex posts with EXACT solutions not mentioned anywhere! Plus I solved another issue today with one of his posts on the simplex shifters (never seen the OB accessories link on BRP) for which I could find NOTHING except overpriced incomplete shifters on ebay and such.

Thanks to FR and to all the guys out there who have done these things before and choose to share your invaluable knowledge - you should be rewarded.

Re: "God of the Seas"

I think TD is about 100 posts away from being promoted to God of the seas.

It is a nice place to be when things aren't going right and you know you don't have the answer.

Woa, there there actually is one, wow.

Is that tashadaddy..?.. Yeah I seen him alot and he actually did provide me a solution on an issue, I think with fiberglass. All good posters, probably had toy outboards instead of GI Joe!
