Good example of Bad, 9.9 / 15 (photo)

Thought this was a good example of a water pump base plate for a 9.9 / 15 OMC, the photo shows the drive shaft hole very enlarged / worn on the bad one, next to a good one. thought it mite help someone.

I'm not sure, I was thinking maybe a badly worn drive shaft bearing? the shaft itself looks ok as far as I can tell.
