Got a new boat yesterday...Had an accident today. Do I need to fix this?

KD4UPL, you might want to find a new shop. My buddy broke his almost completely off and he said was right around $100 to get welded up.

No one has mentioned anything about the props. Myself, I would check each blade of each prop to see if they came into contact with whatever the skeg came into contact with. A bent prop and or shaft could cause some real problems. IMHO.

Anybody with a "Morgueman" name and hits something on his new boat could be flirting with fate... Maybe it's an omen you should sell boat immediately :D

I resemble that remark....

I was so excited about a quick, easy fix that I immediately purchased a SkegShield online. Now...people are saying to just get it welded. Oh well...I think I'll just continue with putting the SkegShield on, and "hope" I don't break a bigger piece off by bumping it again.
