If a rivet is missing, put in a new rivet. You may have to go to a larger size. Start with 1/8 then 5/16 and larger if you have to. A self tapping screw? Unless there is something really strange, I don't think that is needed. Do you have any pictures?

Dude said they were not pop rivits. So I dunno where to get them.

Well I don't have pictures of the rivits that are missing. But I can get them sometime tomorrow. For now though here are some good pictures of the boat.

http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b161/josh6780/

- you gotta click on alumacraft to get the old pictures -

Your hardware store or rental center can help you get rivets. That is if you rent a rivet gun they would have rivets to go with it.

If not, go to a search engine and type in rivets and you will be linked to all kinds of places to get them. Ordering by mail is fairly fast.

Another thing to try if you don't want to buy bulk (more than a few) go to an airport or FBO (fixed base operator) and talk to any mechanic. If you need only three they may just give them to you. Better yet, for a minimal fee, they may rivet the boat for you. No harm in asking.
