got serial # but, what year is it?

i have an old outboard with a lot of #s but i cant make sense of em and i want to know what year is it.<br />all a know its this,<br /><br />its a mercury kiekhaefer<br />50hp.<br />serial #: 1569260<br /><br />when i took off the cover i found some numbers like this one: <br />kiekhaefer model 4d-4 4262<br /><br />and like this one in the other side:<br />kiekhaefer 834-1851 panther<br /><br />or, like this one on the back where the spark plugs are:<br />mercury kiekhaefer 1012-2077<br /><br />can anyone tell me what year is it and some other information that may be useful?<br />thank you.

its me again , i went to www.oldmercs.com/196263merc500.htm<br />and the picture of the outboard they show there is diferent. <br />mine in the front plate (cover) it says:<br /><br />merc650<br />(with the # "6" being larger than the other leters & numbers)<br /><br />when in the picture shown in the website the number is a "5" in between the letters and numbers,<br />does this makes any diference?<br />thanks.
