Greetings electrical guru's or someone has this,

Was wondering if you can help me out. I have a hummingbird GPS system and the GPS antenna has a NMEA pig tail with three wire coming out of it
(white, red, black) the Yamaha gauge literature says I can get my speed from the GPS on my "SPEED FUEL." I've tried to contact hummingbird to see how to do it or if I needed another cable but no one has gotten back to me. If I can do this how is it done??? I understand the red and black are power wires and from looking at the back of my gauges there is no room for plug and play..

Any help for the wiring challenged??

Re: GPS and Yamaha Link Gauges

if your using the old style digital (not command link) guages then go to the dealer and buy the cable adapter.
it plugs into the back of the speedo and the fuel management guages. the guages have to be within about 6" and wired to the same key switch.
to use a GPS you simply cut off the speedo end and wire it up as per humming bird.

RODBOLT, thanx for the reply but they are the command link Square 2006. I have been waiting for humminbird to get back to me but all I got was the email saying that they got my request and working on it about 3 wks ago. Well if you have any more suggestions or you hear of something keep me in mind.
