I use a Palm M505 PDA and a Navman GPS with it. I use it on the boat and in the car. It's good for the lake. I keep it in my drybox and only pull it out when I need it. Mostly I just mark waypoints for places I want to go back to. It'll get you out of the creeks and slough's too if you get turned around.<br /><br />I just use the software in my computer to find the lake and download the lake map to my Palm.<br /><br />I don't have a dash in my boat but I do have mounting hardware that lets me mount it to a smooth surface like a windshield. I mounted it to the little windshield on a pontoon boat a few times and it worked great.<br /><br />
