hard starting

2000 fitch efi 2-stroke hard starting issue--serial # G 04869923 / model # e175fpxssr
new boat to me will start on ether just fine then will restart just fine, also has some fluid leaking maybe a 2-stroke gas leak on out drive --- any help

Full tank, topped off oil tank for 2-stroke injection oil, has new plugs.
,new boat to me just got last week just going over boat and engine, last owner said had compression test done and all was good

Sound like needs a starter or battery...these need a good battery of 800CCA .

Did check, does have new plugs, not sure if were indexed or not, not sure if that is still needed to be done engine does show to have pinned cylinder heads.

just took batteries off charger and spins just fine, also made sure that fuel system was primed, did see that some 2-stroke/fuel was leaking (small amount running down outdrive) did try to use choke by pushing in key then trying to start engine, also did here that the fuel pump was activating when key was turned on and trying to start.

No choke on a Ficht..pushing in key does nothing. That motor has to spin at least 300 RPM for injectors to fire correctly, That motor with correct battery,good starter with start with about 2 turns of flywheel. You could have other problems too,

Just checking on engine today checking on fuses and relays (fuses all ok) and after moving harnesses then after a few the engine started clicking like a relay pulsing. Is this something normal or ?

no key was removed, shut off battery switch then turned back on to see if still had clicking and did not click again

Another question on the vapor separator fuel pump assembly how much pressure is to be delivered to the fuel injectors ? also is there a check valve to hold the pressure in the fuel lines to injectors ?

rechecked fuses again power on and all fuses are good and have power on both sides. while having cover off on the vapor separator / fuel pump it has a test port on the fuel injector lines from what I can find is this to have 20-30 psi on this test port and if so how long should the system hold pressure ? I did push in the valve and just a small amount of fuel came out of the valve and at a very low pressure if you want to call it that, will low pressure from the fuel pump cause a hard start condition, I was also reading that the injectors will make there own pressure of up to 250 psi.

Also had batteries load tested and found one was bad and has now been replaced. The new battery will be the engine crank battery.

Fuel pressure should be 20-30psi with engine running, injectors don't make any pressure.

Does this motor have any spark ??

yes motor runs with starting fluid start, just doesn't want to start on initial crank like low fuel pressure.
