Took boat in to shop for diag and testing. no word yet. see what results we get. I personally think that it is the fuel pump and fuel separator unit regulator not holding pressure or not building enough pressure for the fuel injectors., it was replaced almost three years ago but boat has been in storage for a little while like three months if previous owner is correct. fuel is still good no odd smell yes. says had fuel stabilizer added to tank

Took boat into shop for a check out,
shop did testing and still had same issue said they called Evinrude to get more info, says most likely it needs a new ecm and or be updated. no updates are available from oem but not 100%. But once it starts up for the day it will start every time after till next day out on water. Other wise a good motor low hours 467 good fuel pressure and compression.
Thanks for the help.

The only other thing that may make things better is to upgrade the shifter assembly with a OMC all in one unit and new shift cables with included ignition switch. This was the only thing that they suggested as a possible fix from the shop.

Sounds like an expensive gear upgrade that wont help your starting issue.
Something not quite 100% right in the ECM for starting sequence would be my bet but i dont know what its designed to do at startup such as more fuel delivery etc
