
MY 1988 BAKER HAS A TELEFLEX DOUBLE RACK STEERING SYSTEM IN IT, AND ITS A WORKOUT TO TURN THE WHEEL IN BOTH DIRECTIONS, IN HIGH AND LOW SPEEDS, WHICH MAKES FOR DOCKING, A REAL BIAACH!!

<br /> I'VE DISCONNECTED THE STEERING AT THE ENGINE, AND THE ENGINE MOVES FREELY WITH LITTLE EFFORT. WITH IT STILL DISCONNECTED, I TRIED TURNING THE WHEEL, AND WAS STILL VERY HARD. THE RODS AT THE END OF THE CABLES LOOKED PRETTY WELL LUBED. WHAT COULD IT BE? AND WHAT CAN I DO TO LOOSEN IT UP WITHOUT HAVING TO BUY A NEW STEERING SYSTEM?<br /> ANY USEFUL INFO IS APPRECIATED.
