hard to steer

I have a 1988 wellcraft v20 steplift with 3.7l 170hp merc cruiser, run great but cant hardly steer it at high speeds. Any help out there?

probably steering cable, does it have power steering, could be pump. moving to mercruiser.

Ayuh,....... Is it Only at Hi-speeds,..??..??

If so,......
You need to inspect,+ adjust the Torque-Tab located just aft,+ above the prop......
