Has anyone ever converted a runabout walk thru windshield into a open Center console? I have a 78 thundercraft runabout walk thru I want to convert to a CC open. Has anyone ever tried this conversion?

Close, I converted a 1971 Glastron V-153 skiboat into a CC with open deck by removing the forward portion of the cap. Obviously, your challenge will be to come up with a console and routing the control cables/wires to the stern via a conduit such as a piece of PVC. I built a console and forward casting platform out of 3/4inch plywood sealed with epoxy then painted. Good luck!

if you do a search there are a number of threads on here about just such projects. It seems to be a common fabrication.
