Re: Has anyone have experience with compression tester from harbor frieght
I don't have any personal experience with it, but I've heard that the one with a hose has the check valve at the gage end of the hose instead of at the end that goes into the spark plug hole. That has a big effect on the accuracy (or lack thereof) if using on a small engine. Might be ok on a big cube V8.

I've got the model #92697 and the check valve is located at the sparkplug hole end...have never checked it against a certified correct gauge, but I'd guess someone on the www has and has written about it...this one is easy to use and has been problem free so far
Re: Has anyone have experience with compression tester from harbor frieght
Ok I have model #95187 and i think I did the test wrong. I have a small 6hp johnson and the reading was really small. But I also left the other spark plug in and i didnt know you had to warm the engine up?
Re: Has anyone have experience with compression tester from harbor frieght
The other plug being in is not an issue. As for the warm/cold thing, there is a population that says to check it warm. How ya' going to check a non-running motor warm to see if it is worth messing with before you work on it? Check it cold. If you want to recheck it warm go ahead.
