He is moving around on the floor stud. Should I wait for him to stop making moving around noise ? Then remove 2 T V outlet covers & the boxes.
Then pull him out with a stick and nail ?
Open to all ways of doing it.
Wife said let him die and dry out till odor, if any, stops. Leave him in the wall.

410 is weapon of choice in this situation. Single shot cuz if you can't kill in one, you got issues,

We got invaded a few years back. A mouse can fit in a crack the thickness of of two quarters. These loaded with peanut butter will solve the problem quickly and kills instantly. Use zero poison or glue traps. If you gotta kill and not eat it make it as quick as possible.

Bacon grease or peanut butter on a trap should solve the problem

When I moved into this house there were mice everywhere. Trapped them all, went around outside and sealed every hole I could find. No problem for 10 years. Until last year. At the first sign of a mouse I setup traps again. Got a couple within a couple days, thought that was it. Checked the foundations again and didn’t find any entrance points. Well, 20 mice later, including baby mice that were still barely able to walk showed up on the basement floor, disposed of them and now no issues again. Dang sneaky critters!

I use "TomCat" appears to be same stuff from the label. They also have traps that contain the mouse, and traps that contain mouse and the poison if you go that route.

I had a mouse crawl into my recliner chair and die , stuck it funk , and despite pulling the chair to bit as much as I could I couldnt find it and it stunk the place out for over a month .
Oh once it was dry and crispy and didnt stink any more...... then I found it ....... down the inside of the cushion .

Almost , it was under one layer of leather and while it was soft I couldnt feel it but once the thing dried out and gone crispy I felt it .
Where have you been watching Brokenwood ?
