Well,
I replaced fuel line, inspected fuel filter, looked for anti-syphon valve and checked vent. I put a portable tank in the boat this morning. I headed out , sure enough I got a mile upriver and it died. Switched to the portable tank, and I was off with no problems at all.The main tank had vaopr locked again and flattened the bulb. What could be the problem with the gas tank?

When it does that, loosen or remove the filler cap. If it improves, the vent is plugged.
If not, the fuel pickup is plugged. And that's all that can cause this (assuming you are using the same fuel line)

I'm using a different fuel line. Both are new though. So if it's the pickup the tank has to come out? If so I'd have to cut out the floor that was redone last winter.

coosa,

You shouldn't have to cut up the floor to get to the pick up. If you do, it shouldn't have been put together that way.

If you do have to cut the floor, get a deck plate to put in place of the hole. They come in six and eight inch diameters.

Best to get the deck plate, before you cut. You can use it as a template.

Would the pick up be on the back of the tank. It seems like theres something that can be unscrewed that the fuel line attaches to.
